About D3KR Tech

Smart magazine accessories. Built in Texas. Engineered for shooters who don't guess.

D3KR Tech is a Texas-based hardware company building a connected smart accessory ecosystem for firearms. We started with a straightforward problem: shooters shouldn't have to guess how many rounds they're carrying. So we built the hardware to fix it.

Every D3KR product is designed around a single principle — give the shooter accurate, real-time information without adding complexity, changing their setup, or entering the feed path. The magazine baseplate is the foundation. The HUDs, the Ammo Scale, and the app are the rest of the platform.

We're a small team, still in R&D, moving fast. Products are in development and pre-production — not vaporware, not funded fantasy. If you're reading this, you're early. That's a good place to be.

All D3KR products are part of a single connected ecosystem. Everything talks to everything — the baseplate feeds data to the HUD and app; the Ammo Scale rounds out your at-home inventory picture.

What does the Smart Magazine Baseplate actually do?

It replaces your standard magazine baseplate. Once installed, it tracks how many rounds are in the magazine and communicates that count through LED indicator bands on the baseplate itself — Green for plenty, Yellow for getting low, Red for critical — and wirelessly to the D3KR app or a D3KR HUD if you're using one.

Which magazine platforms does the baseplate fit?

Current development covers three platforms: PMAG (AR-15), Glock magazines, and H&K magazines. Specific capacity variants within each platform will be listed on the individual product pages as availability is confirmed.

Do I need the app to use the baseplate?

No. The LED indicator bands on the baseplate work standalone — no phone, no HUD required. The D3KR app adds full live round count, session history, and training data when you want more than a color status.

What are the two HUD options?

The Transparent HUD mounts in your line of sight and overlays round count with a customizable reticle — you see the number without looking away. The Enclosed HUD is a sleek, self-contained screen dedicated solely to displaying your round count. Both receive data wirelessly from the baseplate.

What is the D3KR Ammo Scale?

The Ammo Scale is a home inventory tool designed to tell you exactly what you have before you head to the range. It uses weight sensing combined with camera-based identification to count and classify your ammunition stock accurately — no manual counting, no guesswork.

What does the D3KR app cost?

Free. The core app — BLE pairing, live round count, session logging — will be free on iOS and Android. Any premium features, if introduced, will be clearly communicated before launch.

Is installation permanent? Does it modify my magazine or firearm?

No permanent modification of any kind. The baseplate swaps in the same way an aftermarket baseplate does — no drilling, no adhesives, no alterations to internal magazine components or the firearm itself.

Does the baseplate change the magazine's profile or holster compatibility?

It is designed to maintain the same external footprint as an OEM baseplate. Holster compatibility testing is part of development validation for each platform variant.

Does anything enter the magazine's feed path?

No. The sensing mechanism does not enter or interact with the feed path. Feeding reliability is not affected.

What does pre-ordering mean?

A pre-order reserves your unit at the current price. We do not publish estimated ship dates until we're confident in them. You'll receive direct email communication when your order has a confirmed ship window.

When will the HUDs, Ammo Scale, and app be available?

All are in active R&D. We're not publishing dates we can't stand behind. Join the waitlist to get updates directly when availability windows are confirmed.

Where are D3KR products available?

Exclusively at D3KR.com. We do not currently sell through third-party retailers or distributors.

What is your return policy?

See our full Refund Policy for current terms. If you have a compatibility question before ordering, reach out first — we'd rather answer it than process a return.

Where is D3KR Tech based?
